Christina Humphries Shows Anomaly and Sport Chek Her Best Moves

Whenever we think life x style we immediately think of editor Christina Humphries. And good thing, because Anomaly and client Sport Chek were thinking the same way when they teamed Christina up with Circle Productions director Amos Leblanc. Not only did she deliver a great cut, she created some pretty jumped-up graphics too.

For Pitch Perfect Collaboration, Working With Grip & KFC Is Music To Marc Langley’s Ears

KFC

Parents understand how much time and sacrifice is poured into their kid’s after school activities. When their child finally reaches the spotlight, it makes it all worthwhile. Grip and KFC have tapped into this emotional moment in their latest spot edited by Marc Langley and directed by Sparks Productions’ Ben Liam Jones. Marc deftly creates a highly watchable, visual cut that shares the story of a Dad and his daughter as she learns how to play the piano. In “Theatre“, we see them both change throughout the years … ending with her first big concert, and the pride of a doting father. KFC’s Stephen Scarrow, Senior Marketing Manager, Advertising & Media, says “The KFC Canada team is exceptionally proud of the “Theatre” ad. Rooster did a great job editing the ad to maximize the emotional power of the story, weaving a story of a Father’s pride in his workmanship, and ultimately the pride of his daughter. This brand ad was produced to support KFC’s current “Colonel’s Way” campaign, an appreciation of Colonel Sanders’ values of hard work, pride and love for the work our cooks do in-store. Thank you Rooster for helping to create such a “Finger Lickin’ Good” ad!”

Paul Proulx Raises A Pint With DDB & Dairy Farmers of Canada

dairy-farmers-of-canada

Paul Proulx edits this latest creative for DDB Canada and Dairy Farmers of Canada. Working with Soft Citizen directorial duo Aircastle (William Beauchamp & Jamie Cussen), Paul got a chance to put his comedic editorial skills front and center. The premise of the creative? After an exciting game of hockey, there’s nothing like sharing a tall, cold brewski mooski with the guys. Cheers to that.

Michelle Czukar: New Work for john st. and President’s Choice

#EatTogether
The craft of editing can take you to places you’ve never been, or take you on an emotional journey that you were never expecting. Such is the case with this collaboration from editor Michelle Czukar and Radke director Michael Clowater for john st. and client Loblaw Cos. Ltd. A highly creative editor, Michelle knows how to take storytelling to the next level. Through the magic of editing, she brings us into an apartment hallway, while sharing the story of a group of neighbours from different backgrounds who come together for an impromptu meal.

The 2-minute-and-thirty-second film was shown this past Sunday, during the National Hockey League’s Centennial Classic game, when Loblaw bought out an entire commercial break on Sportsnet after the first period. The message of this emotionally-storied film is about how food can help create unity and community-building when people #EatTogether.

The film is getting lots of praise on social media. The unexpected (for a food retailer) use of emotional storytelling is a lovely, yet a subtle bit of flag-waving to help kick-off Canada’s 150th anniversary of Confederation this year. Did you see the article in the Globe & Mail?
