Rooster Clients Roar at Cannes 2015

Big congratulations go out to Grey Canada and Moms Demand Action Against Gun Control for “Not Allowed” and to Rethink and Uber for “Uber Safe”. Grey won GOLD in the Promo and Activation category early in the Festival, later adding a GOLD LION and two SILVER Cyber Lions to it’s haul plus a BRONZE Lion in the Film sub-category, Public Awareness Message. The video “Not Allowed” is part of Grey’s “Groceries not Guns” campaign that exposed US grocery giant Kroger’s policy of keeping skateboarders, dogs and water toys from it’s stores, while allowing loaded firearms. “Not Allowed” was edited by Paul Proulx and directed by Spy Film’s Tamir Moscovici.

Rethink won a BRONZE Cyber Lion for the video “Uber Safe” which used a branded breathalyser to demonstrate to Toronto-area club-goers, why an Uber might be a safer way to get home. The video for “Uber Safe” was edited by Joey Whitelaw.

 

The shortlist for the Film category included 2 Rooster projects ….
