Advertising Awards – Television
The Applied Arts Magazine Award Annual is now on the street and many of Rooster Post Production’s clients and projects made the book! Each year Applied Arts releases Annuals showcasing the best in Canadian communications across a range of categories. A round of applause for everyone involved.
Congratulations to Mick Griffin on winning a Craft Editing award at the Applied Arts Magazine Awards. Mick’s work was recognized for Lowe Roche’s PSA, “Last 10” for the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. “Last 10” was directed by OPC’s The Dempsey Brothers and it also picked up an award in the PSA Charity category.
Rethink’s Molson Canadian “Passport Beer Fridge” directed by Partners Film’s Jonty Toosey, was recognized in the 30 seconds or less – single category as well as picking up a digital single. “Passport Beer Fridge” and “Beer Fridge – Project Indonesia” the latter directed by Untitled Film’s Tyler Williams, got the nod in the digital – series category. Both spots were edited by Marc Langley.
Red Urban work saw 3 awards for client Volkswagen Canada: “Bellies” directed by Untitled Film’s Curtis Wehrfritz, was recognized in the 30 seconds or less – single category and was cut by Chris Parkins. Red Urban’s Volkswagen GTD campaign also had a good showing in the Young Blood Television category, winning a single for “Bellies” plus series for “Bellies”, “Ice Cream” and “Delivery”.
“Once More: The Story of VIN 903847” directed by Untitled Film’s Hubert Davis and edited by Paul Jutras, got the nod for Branded Content – single and a Young Blood Television single award.
The Beetle “3-Track Gang of Rhythm”, a unique branded content/music video directed by Untitled Film’s Wendy Morgan and edited by Dave De Carlo, was recognized in the digital – single category.
Agency Grey Canada and Missing Children Society of Canada won PSA Pro Bono, Single. “Arrow” was directed by Spy Film’s Jonathan Bensimon, and edited by Dave De Carlo.
Dave De Carlo and Cundari also got the nod for the CIBC Run for the Cure directed by Hubert Davis from Untitled Films.
